This is a project where a little goes a long way. I am not a professional fund raiser. Your
money will not be used for overhead, travel expenses, or printing costs. It will be mailed to a Tibetan
friend in Beijing who will hand carry every donated penny directly to Karma Senge Rinpoche.
Donations are needed for the school. Right now there is only accommodation for 80 of the
160 students currently enrolled. The number one priority of the parents in this area is educating their
children, but most families have no money to help with this. Rinpoche knows the importance of education
and is determined that this area be provided with it.
Donations are needed for continued building construction at Wenchen Gompa. The retreat center
is complete and there are 90 nuns now residing at the nunnery, but Rinpoche tells me that there are still
more nuns hoping to practice there.
Donations are needed for young nuns. As word of the nunnery spreads, requests for ordaining
young nuns is growing.
Donations are needed for the widow and orphan fund.
Donations are needed to host important teachers. There is a wonderful tradition in
Tibet of teachers traveling and teaching in different centers across Tibet. The 17th Karmapa oversees
the spiritual welfare of the Weyching Gompa nuns and visited there in 2001.
Donations are also needed to help support Kyere monks who are on 4 to 6 year retreats.
Donations of any size will be well used and greatly appreciated by the nuns. In addition,
I know that the nuns you see in the picture above, would be interested in names and pictures of donors,
if you would care to include them with your donations.
You may make a tax-deductible donation on-line through Konchok Foundation. Please be sure
to specify that your donation is for Karma Senge Rinpoche projects.
OR You may make a tax-deductible donation payable to Silicon Valley Shambhala and mail
